John Keegan is a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. While in college, John took many computer-programming courses. Ever since, he has used his interest in computers to help make his career as an accountant much more rewarding.
John has been in the accounting field for 25 years. He has worked in organizations ranging in size from a small, family-owned business to one of the largest departments of the U.S. government. In each position, John designed and implemented changes to improve processes. He received a commendation for outstanding performance for his work while at the Department of the Army. During his tenure at a nation-wide food distributor, John received Employee of the Year awards due in part to his use of spreadsheets in tracking and communicating information. Currently, John is the controller in the U.S. location of a large, multi-national company and associate of K2 Enterprises. Both roles give him the great opportunity to learn and apply solutions to real world issues, and help others facing similar situations.
John has earned certifications during his career. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Because of his diverse background in computers, John is also a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). He is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Office 2003 Master Instructor, and Office 2007 Certified Application Specialist.
